Unified Brand Identity for Westwood AI + Roof Ranger

Dakoyta Greenman approached Sol Studios with a challenge: develop a unified brand identity for two separate businesses—Westwood AI, an artificial intelligence company focused on smart systems, and Roof Ranger, a drone-powered roof inspection service. While the industries were different, Dakoyta had a vision for a cohesive, professional identity system that could serve both brands while allowing each to maintain its individuality.

Objective

Create a shared visual identity system that:

  • Aligns both brands under a single design language

  • Reflects trust, innovation, and professionalism

  • Is adaptable across print, digital, and merchandise

  • Supports brand growth across commercial and residential markets

Strategy

We began with a deep dive into Dakoyta’s vision, industry positioning, and target audiences. Both brands needed to speak to modernity and precision—whether through cutting-edge AI or high-tech drone inspections. We focused on building a system rooted in flexibility, recognition, and clarity.

Design Approach

Color Palette

A six-color palette was developed and shared across both brands:

  • Slate Indigo (#4A4E69) – Stability and professionalism

  • Beacon Yellow (#FFC72C) – Energy and innovation

  • Iron Black (#1F1F1F) – Bold contrast

  • Dusty Ivory (#F4F3EE) – Neutral balance

  • True White (#FFFFFF) – Clean and minimal

  • Signal Orange (#FF6B35) – Alert and action-oriented

Typography

  • Lato – Used across both brands for body copy and digital clarity

  • Ofelia Display (Westwood AI) – A modern serif with tech-forward personality

  • DIN 2014 Narrow Bold (Roof Ranger) – Industrial, assertive, and ideal for field-based service branding

Logo Systems

Each brand received a custom logo with visual harmony

Westwood AI emphasizes connectivity and intelligence through a circular neural node graphic.

Roof Ranger incorporates a streamlined drone element and architecture lines for industry clarity.

Icons were also developed to reinforce brand sub-sectors (e.g., mapping, inspection, robotics, and hardware integration).

Results

By designing both identities together, we achieved:

  • A cohesive visual ecosystem that unites the brands under one strategy

  • Distinct brand expressions that still feel related

  • Flexible usage across digital platforms, business cards, presentations, and more
